Gogol Bordello: Alcohol Soked and Gypsy Punk

Apostle of Hustle opened for Gogol Bordello. They were great even if it was only the drummer and guitarist/vocalist.

Gogol Bordello: The Day After

What an incredible show! I only recently started to come down from the adreniline rush. It was a great crowd and both bands played some awsome music. I took some pictures and chatted with some of the band members but the full story will have to wait. It was a late night and early morning for me...

Gogol Bordello: Pre-Game

Internationally acclaimed Gogol Bordello is playing 4th&B tonight. This will be my first Gogol Bordello show so I am not sure what to expect. Some kind of madness and punk joy I am sure. As I write this the excitment and nervousness grows. I am anticipating quite an adreniline rush. I havn't been able to resist the urge to dance when I listen to them on CD so I don't plan on resisting tonight! Opening is Canadian artist and lead guitarist of Broken Social Scene, Andrew Whiteman's, Apostle of Hustle. Where are you going to be tonight?

An album to wear? Metrofique!

This tantalizing album, by Metrofique, dances the ear drums like a distant beat beckoning the aural senses closer. What is the only thing that could be better than listening to Steven Bradford and Gabe Lehner's album, "Swing for Fences", for free online? Listening to it in full FLAC form in all it's glory. You can purchase the tracks from their web site in a myriad of formats and Metrofique is offering two tracks for free...

"...please download "Chain That Ends" and "Over Love" for free and share our music to show your support in the meantime." - Listen to it at Metrofique.com.

Music Workstation: Day 1

I have begun research and development on a Linux Based Workstation for recording and producing music.

So far I have visited the following sites and I am currently considering the best (Stability: Quality: Interface) system configuration. What I have read at these sites is a great collection of information on successful hardware and software configurations. The current sites I am using for reference are:

Linuxaudio.org
John Rigg's, www.sound-man.co.uk
google.com/linux

I am sure that I will find evermore references on this topic and my goal is to document progress and catalog documentation. But for now: back to R&D!
